Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)

Limits the renter's financial responsibility for loss or damage to the Budget vehicle and in some countries third party property damage or injury (if you comply with the Budget Rental Agreement). In most cases, an excess applies and can be reduced through the purchase of Excess Reduction (ER).

LDW may not be available from all Budget locations and is included in most rates in Australia.

Excess Reduction (ER)

In Australia, if your rental vehicle is involved in an accident, an insurance excess generally applies. ER is an optional coverage that reduces your financial liability for an additional fee. Varies by age of renter, location, type of vehicle and rate.

Note: ER does not cover certain loss or damage (including overhead, underbody and water damage). Subject to the Budget Rental Terms and Conditions.
